In this introduction to lapidary course students will learn how to transform rough stone into jewelry-ready cabochons. Learn the basics of identifying rocks and develop an understanding of how the Mohs hardness scale affects cutting/cabbing and stone work. Students will be carefully shown how to safely operate trim saws and lapidary machines.
