Originally developed for self-defense, tai chi has evolved into a graceful form of exercise that encourages stress reduction and improves balance, strength, and flexibility. Sun Style Tai Chi is gentle on joints and muscles while building strength and endurance through slow, focused movements, breathing techniques and releasing tension with stepping motions. Often described as meditation in motion, tai chi promotes a sense of well being and serenity. Wear loose comfortable clothing and flat supportive shoes. Bring water for hydration. Previous tai chi experience is helpful but not required. Beginners are welcome.
