Metalsmithing 101 is a six-week introductory course designed exclusively for beginners who want to learn the fundamentals of metalsmithing using correct techniques from the very start. This course focuses on building a strong technical foundation rather than shortcuts, making it ideal for students who are serious about learning essential skills properly.

Throughout the course, students will receive hands-on instruction in core metalsmithing techniques, including sawing, soldering, forming, filing, and professional finishing methods. Each skill is introduced step by step, with close guidance and demonstrations to ensure accuracy, safety, and confidence at the bench.

Students will complete multiple guided projects over the six weeks, allowing them to immediately apply each technique while developing precision, control, and craftsmanship. By the end of the course, participants will have a solid understanding of foundational metalsmithing processes and the skills needed to continue their practice independently.
